Impact supported the New York State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s AIDS Institute in the development of its PrEP Aware Week campaign. We worked with the AIDS Institute and eight New York state-based collaborative and nonprofit agencies to create campaign branding, including a campaign theme and tagline, campaign logo, and marketing messaging. The 2022 campaign featured portraits of community members who take PrEP for HIV prevention and highlighted the myriad personal motivations for choosing to take PrEP. Impact conducted original photo and video shoots and led the development of PrEP Aware Week campaign collateral including campaign videos, social media and web graphics, campaign t-shirts, social media messaging and associated social media toolkit, and dissemination support including participation on a statewide campaign webinar. The campaign generated awareness and knowledge of PrEP for HIV prevention through culturally relevant messages tailored to individuals at elevated risk for HIV.
